Dani has been bugging asking us for years for a puppy. We finally relented and told her she could get one for her birthday. She searched morning, noon and night for puppy ads. We found several but most of them wanted us to send the money and then they would send the dog. Wasn't going to happen! She was also pretty set on getting a Jack Russell - something I was trying to discourage since they are high maintenance and we don't have a fenced in yard. She happened to come across an ad for puppies which were located in our small town. We called right away and found out that they were almost double of what we wanted to spend - and they weren't Jack Russell's they were Multipoo Shitzu (the kind I was hoping she would get). Life got busy and although Dani kept searching through the ads we were just too busy to act on anything at that moment. Finally Spot sent me a message saying do something about this dog thing or he's going to go crazy! (I guess Dani had been sending him all the emails from the ads she was finding) I called the lady here in town that had puppies and told her that we'd just like to come and see them and maybe Dani would fall in love and change her mind about getting a Jack Russell. Sure enough - the minute we walked into the door and saw the puppies Dani fell in love. She immediately was drawn to a multi coloured female who just loved her right away. We played for a few minutes and then went home to make a decision. Dani decided that this was the one she wanted so we went by later that evening and put a deposit on her and said we would pick her up the next day.
The kids have loved every minute of having her. Dani was a little tired that first weekend because I made it very clear that it was HER puppy and HER responsibility - so she was up most of the night for a few nights taking it out to pee and dealing with her whining. Even Spot has fallen in love with this cute little ball of fur! Her name is Brandy.
